Please call us at (785) 267-1918 if you have an emergency, and we will do our best to help you through this frightening and stressful time. Emergencies can be a terrible experience for pets and pet owners, so we promise to communicate with you and make the process less stressful.
We also offer emergency surgery as well as critical care. Please attempt to call ahead in case of an emergency to alert us to the situation and allow us to prepare.
The most effective way to protect your pet from dental disease is through professional cleanings. We perform thorough cleanings here at Paw Prints Animal Hospital, including the area beneath the gums that you can’t see or access at home. If your pet has brown/yellow teeth, bad breath, or is having difficulty eating, these could all be signs of dental disease.
Spay and Neuter
When you spay and neuter your pets, you give them a better chance at a happy life! They often live longer because they are less likely to run away, get in fights, or get hit by cars. They are less likely to get certain types of cancers. Females are less likely to get pyometras and other deadly diseases. Males are less likely to spray and have other behavioral problems!
We believe in utilizing the highest level of medical technology, and our surgeons are experienced and highly trained. We also realize that it can be stressful to have your pet undergo surgery. We want to assure you that your pet is in good hands, and that we will do everything to provide the best care possible. We will communicate with you about the things you need to know before, during, and after your pet’s surgery. It is our goal to make the entire process go smoothly, and to eliminate the stress and worry of surgical procedures.
We are proud to offer laser surgery and therapy for our patients. Laser procedures allow us to reduce the bleeding and swelling of surgery, making it both safer and less invasive. Laser therapy also reduces pain and recovery time, helping your pet get back to their normal self more quickly.
X-rays allow us to create images of all the body’s organs. In other words, the use of radiology gives us a view of the internal organs in your pet’s body that we otherwise could not see. It’s a valuable diagnostic tool that helps veterinarians detect and prevent illnesses.
We practice the highest standards of care and cleanliness for patients staying with us. We know that it takes a great deal of trust to leave your pet with someone else, so we want to assure you that we are professional, highly trained, and most of all, we love pets.
